Annual Safari 2017

​

16 intrepid Nomads left Great Britain for their safari into Brittany on the overnight ferry to Roscoff on Sunday 4th June 2017 in Club Class Plus cabins. 9 holes were played on the way to St.Malo at Golf de Tremereuc. On the second day with very windy conditions a full round was played on the fine links course at Granville. On the third day a full round was played at St.Malo. On the fourth day a full round was played at St.Cast. 4 nights accommodation was within the city walls of St.Malo at the Hotel Univers. As usual there were two teams. Spratts and Mackerels. The Mackerels were the victorious team. The overall individual winners were: 1st Place: Nigel Dunstan (Captain Mackerel) 2nd Place:Arthur Panter (Top Entertainer) 3rd Place:John Stanforth (Top Drinker) 4th Place: Ray Schofield (Top Stacker) 5th Place: Doug Richards (Top Competitor) 6th Place: Roger Hoare (Top Bloke)
