Annual Safari 2024
20 Nomads and Guests signed up for the 18th Annual Safari to Portugal. We left on the 30th April flying from Newquay to Faro, returning on the 7th May. The group were based at The Salgados Palm Village. The weather was absolutely glorious over the period of time we were there. The three days golf was played at Salgados golf course which has plenty of water hazards and a multitude of palm trees.
Results were as follows:
Day One: (Secret pairs)
Winners: Dave Carter & Mike Richards 64 pts.
2nd. Martin Kaluza & Ryszard Zolkiewicz 62 pts.
3rd. Dave Dungate & Johnny Bennett 59 pts.
Day Two: (Texas Scramble)
Winners: Dave Mugford, Mike Richards, Nigel Dunstan, Simon Tonkin. 59.5.
2nd. Barry Lumley, Bruce Pow, Clive Bicknell, Dave Dungate. 59.7.
Day Three: (Four Ball Better Ball)
Winners: Martin Kaluza & Ryszard Zolkiewicz. 45 pts.
2nd. Dave Carter & Mike Martin. 42 pts.
3rd. Adrian Roberts & Bruce Pow. 42 pts.
